GSS Sports Carnival 2015

Dear GSS members:

The sports carnival is going to happen in less than 2 weeks!!

Please note that the registration for competitive games (basketball and badminton) will be closed next Monday (30th March) at 6pm. Remember to register with us online through the QR code in the poster or HERE !

Registration for fun games will be open all the time but on first-come-first-served bases!

Do come for the fun and excitment, and Lucky Draw for everyone!

NOTE:

Please download the Indemnity Form for Sports Carnival HERE after you have registered online. You will need to submit the form on the day of the event for registration.

GSS Sports Carnival 2015

Dear GSS Member:

 

The Graduate Student Sports Carnival is happening on 4th April! 

All NUS graduate students, research staff and alumni are welcome to participate in competitive and interesting games: badminton, basketball, rock climbing, laser tag and bubble soccer! There are attractive prizes for badminton and basketball winners and there will be a lucky draw at the end of the event as well!

Time: 9am-6pm, 4th April

Registration time: 9am

Venue: Utown (Registration and warm-up at SRC rock climbing wall)

Note: All sports games in this event are FREE for all NUS graduate students research staff and alumni. All you need to do is just to register online Here.

Apart from rock climbing, all other games are team games. You may sign up either as a team or an individual for the team games. Individuals or incomplete teams will be randomly assigned members to form a complete team. On site registration is allowed for laser tag and bubble soccer, but participants slots are available on a first-come-first-served basis..

Important note:

You will need to sign an Indemnity Form in order to participate in this event. The form may be downloaded from our GSS website.

Game details:

For rock climbing, there are three sessions. Number of participants are limited. 24 participants are allowed for each session. The registration is on first-come-first-served basis. The three sessions are:

Session 1: 9:30 – 11:30 AM

Session 2: 1:00 – 3:00 PM

Session 3: 3:00 – 5:00 PM 

For badminton, there are options to play in the mixed doubles, male doubles and individual (both male and female compete together).

For basketball, there will be a male 3vs3 match (3 players + 2 substitutes per team). There will also be a shooting challenge for both males and females. Laser tag and bubble soccer consist of 5 players per team.
